Welcome to the world Caroline Apple!

Our beautiful niece/cousin was born on Friday 4/17 at 3:30pm. She is absolutely beautiful and so tiny! I can't believe that Kate was that small just 5 months ago. Cindy, Nathan, little Nathan and Erin are all doing great and love having baby Caroline to play with. We can't wait to see her again!!!We had a low key kind of week. I finally went to the doctor and got some meds that actually worked so I'm feeling MUCH MUCH BETTER. I forgot how it feels to be 'well'. Loving modern medicine right about now :-)

Kate is rolling all over the place now. I can't leave her alone for a minute or she'll be rolling off of something or onto something! She knows how to get where she wants (and quickly). She is eating rice cereal 2x a day and is getting it down. The fabulous teachers at daycare helped her master that trick. We'll probably start solids in the next week or so (can you believe it?!?!?!)

Daddy Kisses

On Sunday night, we had the opportunity to catch up with family that we haven't seen in 5 & 10 years. My cousins invited us over to dinner so that we could visit with them and my aunt and uncle from Colorado. It was such a great visit and we are so blessed to have the opportunity to reconnect. Take a look at their gorgeous kiddos! Also, look how happy Kate is in Uncle Steve's arms.

On the work front, things are going well. We still don't know my fate at Embarq as we continue through the acquisition (CenturyTel bought Embarq the day I went into the hospital for Kate's birth). We are just taking it one day at a time. I attended a woman's leadership conference today that was outstanding and I got completely inspired. I have this feeling that I can make a difference in the world through work, but I'm not sure just what work it is yet. Hopefully some good reflection will inspire me more. I'm ready to figure out how to use my Red Rubber Ball!
Have a great week!
