It was a great and BIG weekend for our little princess too. She is 6 months old now - WOW! We had a great check-up with the doctor and are stats are as follows:
Ht = 27 1/8" (90% - imagine that)
Wt = 16lbs 7oz (60%)
Head = 17 (75%)
So we have a tall skinny girl with a larger than normal head (to hold that big powerful brain of course). That's our girl!
Kate is a mover and a shaker and loves to impress people with her new skills. She is sitting up (and getting more stable every day), rolling around (from front to back and vice versa AND both sides), up on her hands and knees and rocking (yes - I feel like crawling could occur any day) and is scooting backwards. And that is just what she does while on the ground! She is full of smiles and laughs and continues to capture our hearts every day. What an angel she is!
We started her on carrots this weekend as her first food (other than cereal) and she likes it! It's so funny to see her eat the carrots as she gets an orange mustache. She is pretty clean for a new eater though.
We had a great time at the annual Williams Family Kentucky Derby party and Tim and I got lucky for the 3rd year in a row picking the winning horse. Hey - when you're hot, you're hot! LOL
On Sunday, Kate and I participated in the March of Dimes - March for Babies. We were walking along with our friend Emrey Hilgers who was born in February 12 weeks premature. Along with other friends, we made up Emrey's Entourage and had a great time walking and supporting such an amazing organization.

There is much more to catch up on and I'll try to post more this week. I'm exhausted and ready to hit the hay. Goodnight :-)
